Shaveworks The Cool Fix Review

If you have shaved, then you have probably experienced razor burn, ingrown hairs, and/or razor bumps. This is one common grooming dilemma that men have to grapple with. This is especially true if you shave every day. Those pesky whiskers sometimes get curled up or caught beneath the skin's surface, and suddenly you have an ingrown hair. Well, Shaveworks The Cool Fix is a blue gel formula that aims to help remedy this painful problem.

Shaveworks The Cool Fix is a brand that comes from Anthony Logistics Skincare for Men. This aftershave treatment can actually be used by women as well, on the legs, bikini area, and underarm. It is a cooling formula that is applied after shaving and rinsing the skin. Unlike most aftershaves, this product is claimed to do a little more than soothe irritation and razor burn. Shaveworks The Cool Fix addresses razor bumps and ingrown hairs, so you don't have to go digging with a tweezers. Ouch!

There are four major ingredients found in Shaveworks The Cool Fix to help reduce shaving problems. The first ingredient is Glycolic Acid, which is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid that helps break apart the glue on the surface of your skin, in order to remove dead surface cells. Glycolic Acid is a natural ingredient taken from sugar cane.

The second key ingredient is Salicylic Acid, which is a Beta Hydroxy Acid commonly used in acne treatments. This acid actually penetrates the pores, removes oil and debris, kills bacteria, and helps reduce razor bumps and blemishes.

Phytic Acid is the third important ingredient found in Shaveworks The Cool Fix. It helps detoxify the skin, free up trapped whiskers, dissolve dead skin cells, and lighten the skin around the problem area.

The final active ingredient used in this aftershave treatment is a Mediacalm Complex.  This is essentially Boerhavia Root Extract, and it reduces skin redness on contact, while soothing irritation.

As for the price, you can find Shaveworks The Cool Fix on the official website or in stores like Sephora for $25 (5.3 ounces) or $11 (two ounces). This treatment can be used in the morning after shaving, as well as at nighttime as an overnight treatment. If you are simply trying to prevent new ingrown whiskers and razor bumps, you may want to apply this cool gel every other night.

On a personal note, I have used this product, and I will say that it does work. It helps relieve redness and razor burn, and also works to remedy ingrown hairs and razor bumps. This can take a few days, depending on the bump. It is certainly better for your skin than digging out the whisker with a tweezers. After all, this can lead to scarring. The only drawback I found is Shaveworks The Cool Fix can be a bit drying.

  1. Love this stuff! Cool Fix by Shaveworks is the bomb diggity. Stuff really works. Calms redness, reduces ingrown whiskers and minimizes razor bumps. The only drawback is it can be a bit drying, so you shouldn't go too crazy with it. But Shaveworks gel does work. I recommend it to any guy with these shaving issues.
